芥川也寸志『音楽の基礎』

芥川也寸志さんの『音楽の基礎』を読み始める。いきなり無響室や大砂漠の夜の静寂という（精神に異常をきたすほどの）特殊な環境の話から始まり、かすかな音響の存在する日常的な静寂の美の話になり、音楽の美へと話をつなげてゆく感じが良い。

作曲家は自分の書いたある旋律が気にいらないとき、ただちにそれを消し去ってしまうだろう。書いた音を消し去るということは、とりも直さずふたたび静寂へ戻ることであり、その行為は、もとの静寂のほうがより美しいことを、みずから認めた結果にほかならない。
音楽は静寂の美に対立し、それへの対決から生まれるのであって、音楽の創造とは、静寂の美に対して、音を素材とする新たな美を目指すことのなかにある。

奥ゆかしさ

単なる音の羅列だったものが、一つの音楽に変貌する瞬間ということについて考えている、、。私に音楽は無理なのだろうか。どうしても音単位で考えてしまうし、ストラクチャーの観念が抜け落ちている気がする。

たとえば高い音とか、低い音とか、中音域？とか、みんなの曲を聴いているとしっかりデザイン？されているように感じられるし、そういうこと一つとっても自分にはできないというかかなり難しい。練習？ 学習？ 慣れ？ 感覚的なもの？ 音楽を志向することとは？

シャッターを押せばひと通り何とかなった写真とは違い、音楽にはテクニカルな部分と感覚的な部分に収まらない、何かもう一つの壁のようなものがあると感じている。音楽の奥ゆかしさ？ のようなもの。

情緒

このところ感情、こと情緒に訴えかけるものに対する疑心が大きくなりつつあり、それなのにそれから自由になれないどころか、真逆な自分に吐き気というか気持ち悪さを感じている。

物の様態

私にとって写真の関心事はつねに物の様態というか、物が物でしかない感じだったのだけど、音楽に移行してからあまりそれを意識していなかったなーと。あの感じ、ちょっと思い出したい。

ノイズ

ノイズがノイズそのものを聴く行為として今、変容しつつあるのだとしたら、私はそれをどう捉えるのかなと考えています。
